The Prescott Jazz Society, Inc is a not-for-profit membership organization that was developed in 1993 as the Prescott Jazz Club initiated by Paul Hutchinson.
Chicago-bred saxophonist, Milton DeLove Cannon Jr., accepted an offer of directorship in 1994 and promptly (within weeks) incorporated the organization into the Prescott Jazz Society, Inc., with a mission.
The Prescott Jazz Society remains dedicated specifically to (1) assisting, (2) advancing, (3) supporting, (4) promoting, and (5) advocating the development, enjoyment, respect and appreciation for an American Cultural Tradition, a National Treasure, and a highly intellectual and deeply spiritual form of performing art.
